Four Things Every Party Host Needs

by Torin Hofmann November 15, 2018

With the holidays right around the corner, many of us will be hosting friends and family, some for the very first time. So how do you make sure your party goes off without a hitch? You’ll need a few things.

🍇Somewhere to store the Vino🍇

Someone, somewhere decided you can never show up to a dinner party empty handed (and it IS a good rule to follow), and around the same time, everyone just started showing up with a bottle of wine to pass on their thanks. As the host, having somewhere other than the kitchen counter to store the wine will help make you look prepared.

🎵Music🎵

As the conversation ebbs and flows throughout the night, music playing in the background just helps everyone feel more comfortable. Whether you want to tune in to a radio station or just play your self-made Spotify playlist, just make sure you’ve got some decent speakers to play the tunes through.

🍗Good Food🍗

Don’t overthink this one. It doesn’t have to be fancy; it just has to be good. So think about what your best meal is, what’s the one meal you can always cook without a problem? Make enough for however many people are coming, and make sure you have enough kitchenware to serve them all.

If you really want to impress, a cheese tray or fruit bowl to munch on while the food is being prepared can go a long way.

🌸Flowers🌸

Fresh flowers can liven up any room by adding a delicate fragrance and some more colour. If you can pick your own wildflowers this time of year that’s a bonus, if not stop by your local florist the morning of and have the fresh blooms brighten the room.
